2021 SEASON UPDATES

Dear Parents, Players, Coaches, Umpires and Concerned Community Memebers,

The California Department of Public health provided guidance for youth sports on 12/14/2020; therefore, we now have direction and information to allow us to move forward with recreational sports. Based on the guidance that was provided, baseball, softball and T-Ball will be allowed in the 'Red Tier'; therefore, we will begin registration for the 2021 season at that point and we will work diligently to provide a full season. However, we have multiple contingency plans, in place, to provide a shortened or modified season, if necessary.

We anticipate moving into the 'Red Tier' sometime in February and are planning accordingly. We understandthat this willl push back opening day, and subsequently the season, from our traditional calendar. However, we are doing everything we can to ensure a completed season on or before June 30th, 2021. When Stanislaus County is trending torward the 'Red Tier' we will posrt a proposed season calendar on the OBSA website and do our very best to meet these new timelines.

Additionally, with this information and working closely with the City of Oakdale, the Oakdale Joint Unified School District and the Stanislaus County Public health office will help ensure that OBSA complies with all rules, regulations and the guidance so that we can provide a safe, healthy, and enjoyable experience for your players, coaches, umpires and spectators alike.

We sincerely thank you for your understanding, continued support and partience during this ever changing situtation.

Sincerely,

OBSA Executive Board
